It’s rare that the National Hockey League postpones one of their 2542 regular season contests, but that’s exactly what happened on Thursday morning.
With a severe snowstorm hitting Boston, the NHL put the originally scheduled Bruins-Panthers tilt for Thursday on hold. The league will announce the date and time of the rescheduled game at a later date.
Ticket purchases will be valid when the league announces the makeup date.

The red-hot Bruins, who extended their point streak to nine straight games after their 5-1 win over the Islanders Tuesday night, return to action on Saturday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden.
The Panthers, who arrived Wednesday from Minnesota, are scheduled to face the Red Wings Friday night in Detroit.
