Tuukka Rask unlikely to return vs. Preds

The last player the Bruins could afford to lose is putting loyal Boston hockey supporters on edge, at least for the time being.
Making his third start of the four-game road trip in Nashville on Thursday night, Tuukka Rask went down in complete pain after taking a Roman Josi shot beneath his goalie mask, right around the collarbone/head area. Though he got up on his own, Rask skated directly to the locker room for further evaluation.
During the second period, Bruins media relations confirmed that Rask is not likely to return to action.

Zane McIntyre replaced Rask during the first period and helped the B’s stave off the majority of the Predators’ five-minute power play to keep things tied at 0-0 after the opening stanza. Anton Blidh earned a major for interference giving the Preds that opportunity with the man advantage.
McIntyre, who was recalled from Providence prior to the B’s road trip, is still looking for his first win of his NHL career. The only other goaltender to earn a win for the Black and Gold in 2016-17 was Anton Khudobin, who was sent down to make room for the reigning AHL goalie of the month after clearing waivers.
