P.K. Jagr edges Chewbacca in Breakaway Challenge

NASHVILLE — Leave it to two defensemen to battle each other for the most creative goal of the night.
In front of a sold out Bridgestone Arena and millions watching at home, P.K. Subban and Brent Burns put on quite the performance during the breakaway challenge portion of Saturday’s skills competition at the home of the Predators.
As if their first attempts weren’t creative enough with Subban channeling his inner Tiger Woods and Burns showcasing his son in front of a playful fight between former teammates Roberto Luongo and Corey Schneider, the two All Stars saved their best for last.
First, it was Subban dressing up as the legendary Jaromir Jagr for his second attempt. Having to follow Subban’s act, Burns, as if he didn’t already look like Chewbacca, put on the mask of the iconic Star Wars creature.
It was funny:))) I didn’t know he’s going to do it. P.K.-my little brother 🙂 pic.twitter.com/XFvVjbigWh

We wonder if any Bruin at home, particularly Brad Marchand, is watching this and taking notes in case any Boston player makes the All-Star game down the road.
What we do know is that Subban and Burns — aka Jagr and Chewbacca — had an image that will last forever in Skills Competition lore.
