The wait is over. After weeks of anticipation, Bruins fans got their wish when the team unvieled the jersey that they’ll wear for the 2016 Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium.
Bruins players, coaches and management revealed their look for the New Year’s Day matchup against the rival Canadiens on Saturday at the Seaport World Trade Center in South Boston.
The jersey looks quite different from their 2010 gold uniforms. For starters, the primary color is Black with a modified, but classic bear logo crested on the chest in the middle of the Boston Bruins letterhead in yellow. The numbers on the sleeve (as well as the back of the uniform) along with the gold trim is a nice added touch to the old school sweater.
Tuukka Rask, Zdeno Chara and David Krejci were front and center as the first three players who donned the Bruins Winter Classic jersey. Below are a few courtesy photos via the Boston Bruins from Saturday’s unveiling.
From now until Monday, October 26th (through the Bruins pro shop and via phone) fans who pre-order the Bruins Winter Classic jersey will receive 25 percent off. The deal also includes free shipping, an exclusive commemorative box and the official Winter Classic shoulder patch.
