    Black Friday, Winter Classic, highlight Bruins National TV slate

    On Monday, NBC Sports Group released its nationally televised schedule for the 2015-16 NHL season. Of the 105 regular season games featured on NBC and NBCSN, the Boston Bruins will appear 12 times in front of a nationwide audience.

    Four of the Bruins’ 12 appearances on NBC and NBCSN will feature matchups against the hated Montreal Canadiens and another Original Six rival, the New York Rangers. Two of those matchups against the Habs and Blueshirts will be highlighted on NBC during the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day (Montreal) and the “Black Friday” matinee the day after Thanksgiving (New York).

    The Bruins will have two additional appearances on NBC versus the Red Wings and Blackhawks and eight more on NBCSN, including “Wednesday Night Rivalry” matchups against the Rangers, Habs, Flyers and Penguins.

    Here is the complete Bruins nationally televised schedule:

    Wed., Oct. 21 vs. Flyers – 8 p.m., NBCSN
    Fri., Nov. 27 vs. Rangers^ – 1 p.m., NBC
    Wed., Dec. 9 at Canadiens – 7:30 p.m., NBCSN
    Wed., Dec. 16 vs. Penguins – 8 p.m., NBCSN
    Fri., Jan. 1 vs. Canadiens* – 1 p.m., NBC
    Wed., Jan. 13 at Flyers – 8 p.m., NBCSN
    Sun., Feb. 14 at Red Wings – 3 p.m., NBC
    Wed., Feb. 24 vs. Penguins – 7:30 p.m., NBCSN
    Sun., Feb. 28 vs. Lightning – 6:30 p.m., NBCSN
    Tue., Mar. 15 at Sharks – 10 p.m., NBCSN
    Wed., Mar. 23 at Rangers – 8 p.m., NBCSN
    Sun., Apr. 3 vs. Blackhawks – 12:30 p.m., NBC

    * Denotes Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.

    With 21 nationally televised games, the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks will have the most appearances on the NBC Sports Group.
