Another solid period for Rask. Stopped his second breakaway of the night, this time shutting the door on Rick Nash.

It was an interesting period for Adam McQuaid. It started with a fight against against Tanner Glass that did not last too long as McQuaid instantly lost an edge causing the fight to end early. Then shortly after exiting the box, McQuaid left the game after taking a high stick to the face from Kevin Hayes.

Hayes was shown the penalty box for four minutes. The Bruins will carry 1:12 of power play time into the third. The Bruins had a few chances to capitalize on the man advantage, but could not cash in.

    First period quick hits:

After scoring a goal on each of their first two shifts in Tuesday’s win over the Lightning, the trio of Milan Lucic, David Krejci and David Pastrnak was back together to start the game.

The Bruins came out buzzing and were rewarded for it as Patrice Bergeron’s second chance beat Talbot to kick things off on the right foot for the B’s.

Tuukka Rask came to play in the first period, stopping all seven Rangers’ shots including a breakaway stop on Lee Stempniak.

Bruins out shot the Rangers 13-7.

General Manager Peter Chiarelli met with the media during intermission to announce David Pastrnak will remain with the club after his 10 game entry level tryout.
