Second period quick hits:
- After a slow start to the second period, Matt Bartkowski hit Loui Eriksson with a beautiful feed and Eriksson fired home his fifth goal in eight games. Eriksson playing his best hockey as a Bruin.
- Chris Kelly picked up an assist on Eriksson’s tally, its now a career high five game point streak for Chris Kelly.
- Two in as many periods for Marchand. No. 63 found himself in the right place at the right time, scoring his second goal of the game midway through the frame.
- Another solid period for the Bruins. More scoring changes, more dictating the play and some solid play in their own end. If they repeat this formula for the third period, they will be walking away with their second straight victory.
Welcome to TD Garden where the Bruins and Predators are tied at two after one.
First period quick hits:
- The Bruins came out buzzing, as Brad Marchand’s goal 2:01 into the game got the Bruins on the board first. The Bruins had three shots in the first two minutes.
- The lead was short lived, Colin Wilson’s beauty of a backhand knotted things up at one. The Predators’ third shot of the game.
- David Krejci notched his first goal since returning from injury, a power play tally, but the Bruins quickly gave that one back as well on a pretty bad allowed goal by Tuukka Rask.
- Despite a tied game after one, the opening period was a pretty good one for the Bruins. Outshooting the Preds, 10-7, the Bruins were the better team.
- A physical period for Craig Cunningham. He was throwing the body around as he continues to try and prove he belongs on the Bruins’ top line.
