    Third period quick hits:

    – Tim Schaller scores his first career NHL goal less than two minutes into the third to give the Sabres a 3-2 lead. A wrap-around goal for Schaller, one Rask should have stopped.

    – With Tuukka Rask on the bench, Hamilton’s second of the night forced overtime. The goal was Hamilton’s third point of the night.

-The fourth line of Daniel Paille, Gregory Campbell and Matt Fraser failed to produce a single shot on goal. Not a good look for the trio.

    Second period quick hits:

    – After being outplayed the entire period, the Sabres managed to tie the game up at one. Former Bruin Andrej Meszaros tallied his first goal of the season on a nice feed from Chris Stewart.

    – Enroth’s glove continues to haunt Bergeron. Enroth robbed Bergeron with a beautiful glove save shortly after Meszaros’ goal.

    – With Dougie Hamilton in the box for tripping, the Sabres were able to take the lead. Rasmus Ristolainen’s shot deflected off of Torey Krug’s skate, a tough break for the Bruins.

    – The Sabres lead did not last long, though. Chris Kelly’s tip of a Zdeno Chara point shot exactly one minute after Buffalo’s goal tied things up, yet again. Kelly’s goal was the first shift of Kelly-Soderberg-Eriksson.

    – With the goal Kelly now has points in four straight games.

    – Brian Gionta and Marcus Foligno will not return to tonight’s game.

    First period quick hits:

Welcome to TD Garden where the Bruins lead the Buffalo Sabres 1-0 after one. Buffalo enters tonight losers of two straight.

    – The Bruins changed things up a bit offensively as Loui Eriksson started the game on the first line next to Milan Lucic and David Krejci while Craig Cunningham started on the third line alongside Chris Kelly and Carl Soderberg.

    – Dougie Hamilton’s power play goal 14:08 into the frame got the Bruins on the board first. The goal came just seconds after Reilly Smith’s goal was waved off due to Loui Eriksson running into Sabres’ goalie Jhonas Enroth.

    – Matt Bartkowski is done for the game. Bartkowski received a game misconduct after a pretty nasty hit on Brian Gionta. Marcus Foligno immediately stepped up, dropping the gloves with Bartkowski. The fight was Bartkowski’s first of his career. Good chance Bartkowski gets a suspension for that one. Foglino was given an instigator penalty and a 10-minute misconduct.

    – Patrice Bergeron had a golden opportunity to extend the Bruins lead to two, but was stopped by Enroth on a shorthanded breakaway.

    – Bruins outshot the Sabres in the period 10-7.
