Well, its safe to say that this weeks edition of the Jack Edwards call of the week is perfect for the holiday season. We’ll get to the holidays in a moment, but first we’re going to switch things up a bit this week and go with the honorable mentions first.
We’ll start with the obvious one that took place Wednesday night. The culprit is former Detroit Red Wing and Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios. The call? Well it’s more of a scene than a call, but it needs no further introduction.
So here is Chelios interrupting the NESN broadcast – much to the amusement of Jack and Andy Brickley:
Some other honorable mentions include…
Monday’s overtime thriller over the Penguins left little breathing room:

And it also led to some near heart attacks (okay not really):
Holy heart attack, Dale, did you have fun tonight?! #Bruins #Pens — Jack Edwards (@jackedwardssays) November 26, 2013
Thanksgiving eve was not the time to say thanks in Detroit:
They weren’t saying Happy Thanksgiving to one another there. – @jackedwardssays — Ry Guy (@UNHCowbell) November 28, 2013
Thankully for Jack and the rest of The Hub of Hockey, the Bruins bounced back with back-to-back wins:
Dale, they passed the eye test with flying colors. #Bruins #CBJ

A perfect way to end the Thanksgiving season, but there’s still plenty of other calls to be thankful for. In this instance, you won’t find this week’s call of the week on NESN. Instead, thanks to a fan request the fine folks at Thuzio, we even get to see Edwards in the Christmas spirit.

So without further adieu, here is Jack Edwards’ version of Twas the Night Before Christmas:
Will Jack be in the Christmas spirit when he calls his first game between the Bruins and Canadiens Thursday night? Will he have a few more calls up his sleeve when he wraps the week up against the Penguins and Maple Leafs? Tune in next week to find out on the Jack Edwards Call of the Week.
