After a week off, the Jack Edwards Call of the Week makes its triumphant return to Bruins Daily.

There’s no denying that many Bostonians are still hungover from the Red Sox run to the World Series, and Jack Edwards could be among them. That, or the Bruins play by play announcer is still in early season form. Okay, so we’ll go with the latter I suppose, now that its been two weeks since the championship triumph on Yawkey Way.

Still, Edwards has provided some colorful commentary in the early part of the 2013-14 NHL season. And Saturday’s game against Phil Kessel, Dion Phaneuf and the rest of the Toronto Maple Leafs was no exception.

Appropriately enough for this occasion, Edwards had some flashbacks to Game 7 of the epic comeback over the Leafs a few months back thanks to Patrice Bergeron’s first of two third period tallies in the B’s 3-1 victory over their Atlantic Division rivals. And now, we’ll let Jack do the honors:

Of course, there were some other calls that deserve some publicity too. So, without further adieu, here are the best of the rest courtesy of @jackedwardssays on Twitter.

A couple more from Saturday night:

Jack was pretty happy that Brad March-And gets the monkey off his back Thursday night against Florida:

And he was also pleased to see Johnny Boychuk deliver a crushing blow to Vernon Fiddler of the Dallas Stars:

That’s all for this week. Tune in next week to see what the beloved Bruins play-by-play announcer has in store for the Jack Edwards Call of the Week.
