Bruins, Krejci, avoid major scare (updated)
Share
David Krejci and the Boston Bruins dodged a bullet, at least for the time being.
Head coach Claude Julien announced that Krejci, who left during the third period of yesterday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after taking a shot from Johnny Boychuk to the knee, is day-to-day with no broken bones (via Joe Haggerty on Twitter).
Krejci, one of nine players who missed Monday’s practice due to treatment, is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets. Julien also noted that the team will decide either tonight or tomorrow morning if they need to call someone up from Providence (Ryan Spooner appears to be the early favorite).
In case you missed it yesterday, here’s a clip of Krejci taking a Johnny Rocket to the knee.
Update 4:07 p.m. ET
