After an emotional victory on Friday night at home to extend the Providence Bruins win streak to two, the team has lost two straight since falling to 4-6-1. The team is making strides and one of those players making significant strides is right-winger Jamie Tardif.
Tardif scored the game-winning goal in the shoot out Friday night to send the home town fans home happy and also notched another goal Sunday. He also was a plus one while on the ice. Tardif is tied for third on the team in points with six. He has lit the lamp three times while dishing out another three assists. His overall plus/minus comes in at minus three which must change, but lately his effort has been very serviceable.
Last season for the Baby B’s in 57 games, Tardif had 15 goals and 15 assists (30 points) and is right on track for a similar stat line this season.
Tardif only trails Ryan Spooner, Chris Bourque and Maxime Sauve in points and is only second in goals to Sauve and Jordan Caron.
The line play of Spooner, Sauve and Tardif has been able to create many scoring chances this year for the Baby B’s and this line must continue its strong play in order for the team to compile another win streak.
