Bruins announce dates for 2012 Development Camp

With some uncertainty with the upcoming Collective Bargaining Agreements, some teams in the National Hockey League have decided to scrap their plans for hosting a rookie camp this summer. The Boston Bruins, however, are not one of those teams.
For the sixth consecutive season, the Bruins will hold their Developmental Camp at Ristuccia Arena — the team’s practice facility — in Wilmington, Mass. The camp will begin on Thursday, June 28, and conclude two days before the July 4th holiday on Monday, July 2. The dates will also co-inside with the start of the free agent frenzy period on July 1.
Last year’s first round pick and reigning OHL defenseman of the year, Dougie Hamilton (Niagara IceDogs), is among many prospects scheduled to attend. Hamilton, who will skate in his second straight camp, is expected to compete for — and potentially solidify — a roster spot for the 2012-13 season.
The complete list of attendees for the 2012 camp will be announced later this month. For now, here’s a complete look at the five-day schedule that was announced Thursday morning (all events are opened to the public unless otherwise noted).
