Bruins Daily player of the week: Jan 30- Feb 5

The Bruins returned to game action this past Tuesday after having a week off due to the National Hockey League’s All Star Game. Zdeno Chara, Tim Thomas and Tyler Seguin were the three Bruins players who represented the Hub of Hockey in Ottawa for All Star Weekend.
The week started off with a third period come back against the Senators, followed by back-to-back losses to the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins. The B’s finished the week on a high note with a Sunday afternoon win over the Washington Capitals.
Brad Marchand had himself a nice return from the break. The second year forward scored twice, and added two helpers, which is good enough for this week’s Bruins Daily player of the week honors. This is the third time “The Little Ball of Hate” has won this award.
Marchand is fifth on the Bruins in points with 38, and tied with Milan Lucic for second on the team in goals with 19.
