Bruins Daily player of the week: January 9-15

The Bruins kicked the three-game week off with a solid third period effort that helped them take down the Winnipeg Jets. The B’s continued their winning ways when they took down the Montreal Canadiens in a game that saw Mike Cammalleri pulled and traded mid-game. The Black and Gold finished the week with a sloppy loss in Carolina Saturday evening.
Despite the two wins, it was some of sloppiest hockey we have seen in the Hub of Hockey since the defending Stanley Cup Champions started the season off with a 3-7 record.
For me it came down to Patrice Bergeron —last week’s Bruins Daily player of the week— and David Krejci for this week’s honors, after little debate I chose David Krejci.
No. 46 continued his hot streak with four points —all assists— in the three Bruins tilts. With his assist on Milan Lucic’s third period goal Saturday in Carolina Krejci extended his point streak to 11 straight games, the longest point streak in the NHL this season. Krejci’s streak did end in last night’s win against the Panthers.
After a slow start, Krejci is starting to quietly have himself a solid season for the B’s.
