As the calendar flipped to November things changed for the better for the Bruins. The B’s suited up twice this week, both games against Northeast division rivals and walked out of both contests with very solid wins over the Ottawa Senators and division leading Toronto Maple Leafs.
A lot of Bruins had a very solid week and could easily be chosen as this week’s Bruins Daily player of the week, but for the first time this season there was one obvious choice, and that player is Tyler Seguin.
Seguin started the week off with an assist in the Bruins 5-3 win over the Senators, but it was his play in last night’s 7-0 shutout of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In his hometown and in front of multiple friends and family members, Seguin recorded his first career NHL hat trick.
It’s no secret that Seguin has been the best Bruins player and is finally living up to the hype that comes with being the number two overall pick.
Seguin becomes the first Bruins player to win Bruins Daily Bruins player of the week honors multiple times.
Previous winners:
10/6-10/9: Brad Marchand
10/10-10/16: Tyler Seguin
10/17-10/23: Milan Lucic
10/24-10/30: None
In case you missed it, here is Tyler Seguin’s first career NHL hat trick.
