For the second straight game Tim Thomas will be between the pipes for the Bruins. Tonight the Bruins welcome back Joe Thornton and his San Jose Sharks. Thomas will be matched up against Antti Niemi. Thomas won his last start which game on Thursday here at the T.D. Garden against the Toronto Maple Leafs and is 3-2 on the season. Niemi picked up the shootout win last night in New Jersey against the Devils. Niemi is 1-1 on the year.

Defenseman Adam McQuaid is expected to once again miss tonight’s game for the fourth straight time due to injury.
