After 40: Hurricanes-1 Bruins-0
Share
Two periods in the books for the Bruins and Hurricanes as the Bruins play through thier fifth straight period without finding the back of the net. For the second straight period the Bruins top line has been buzzing. If the Bruins are to score tonight its going to be them, because the other three lines have been M.I.A.
The Canes strike first in the second on the powerplay. Pitkanen gets the goal, Kaberle gets an assist in his first game against his former team.
Another Bruins power play, another poor effort, somethings got to give here.
Second two many man of the night for the Hurricanes, another penalty kill for the Hurricanes.
A few seconds after failing on the power play for the fourth time, the Bruins go right back on the ice with the extra attacker, well played Carolina.
Boychuk takes a penalty with seven seconds left on the power play. Bruins now 0-5 with a man advantage.
For the second straight game the Bruins have made the opposing goalie look like the second coming of Patrick Roy. Ward has played very good tonight keeping the Bruins off the board.
I was going to sit here and talk about the lack of a power play and how badly it hurts the Bruins, but we are all sick of beating that drum.
