BOSTON — To no one’s surprise, goaltender Tim Thomas leads the Bruins out to the ice for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, while Dwayne Roloson gets the start for the Bolts.
After playing brilliantly in the first two rounds, both Thomas and Roloson have struggled during the Conference Finals. Despite his shutout in Game 2, Thomas has given up 21 goals in six games, while Roloson, who will make his second straight start, was pulled in Game 4 in favor of Mike Smith.
In his Game 7 career, Roloson is 2-0 with a .968 save percentage and a goals against of exactly 1.00. Roloson lead the Bolts in a triumphant 1-0 shutout over the Penguins in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarterinals.
Thomas, meanwhile, won his first career Game 7 against the Habs in the first round and is 1-2 in his Game 7 career with a goals against of 3.22 and a save percentage of .899.
Sean Bergenheim took part in the Lightning’s warmups indicating that he should be in the lineup tonight after missing Game 6.
