The Boston Bruins finished the week with a 3-0-1 record and solidified not only a playoff berth, but captured the Northeast Division crown for the second time in three years.
Beginning with a 2-1 victory over the Conference-leading Flyers last Sunday to clinch a playoff spot, the B’s then blanked the reigning Stanley Cup champs Chicago Blackhawks at home 3-0, a hiccup 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs, and ended on a high note yeasterday, clinching the Division against farmiliar faces in Blake Wheeler, Mark Staurt and the Atlanta Thrashers, 3-2.
