Bruins snap three-game losing streak…barely

BOSTON — If the NHL were to switch to 40-minute games, then this year’s Boston Bruins team could probably make a solid run at an undefeated season.
If you go up-and-down their list of games thus far this season, you could make the argument that they have put together two very solid periods in each of those contests. But playing a full 60 minutes with 100 percent effort has been virtually non-existent — including tonight.
The B’s held on for dear life but finally dropped the Washington Capital 3-2 at the TD Garden, snapping their three-game losing streak…barely.
