The 2009-10 Boston Bruins certainly didn’t repeat their 116-point season of last year, but with 91 points, they did managed to squeak into the playoffs with the sixth-seed.
The B’s finished the regular season with a 4-1-1 record and 91 points as they face the Buffalo Sabres in Round One of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Boston went 4-2-0 against the Sabres during the regular season, and even have history on their side.
Thursday night – game one in Buffalo – will be the 40th game in their all-time playoff series with Boston holding a 21-18 record and a 139-130 scoring edge.
